A woman born in vassalage. NIENT (Law Fr.) Nothing; not; null. NIENT COMPRISE (Law Fr. not Included). An exception taken to a petition because the thing desired is not contained in NIENT CULPABLE (Law Fr. not guilty). The name of a plea used to deny any charge of a criminal nature, or of a tort. NIENT DEDIRE (Law Fr. to say nothing). Words used to signify that judgment be rendered against a party because he does not deny the cause of action; i. e., by default. When a fair and impartial trial cannot be had in the county where the venue is laid, the practice ih the English courts is, on an affidavit of the circumstances, to change it in transitory actions; or, in local actions, they vdll give leave to enter a suggestion on the roll, with a nient dedire, in order to have the trial in another county.

NIENT LE FAIT (Law Fr.) In pleading. The same as non est factum, a plea by which the defendant asserts that the deed declared upon is not his deed.
