In Scotch law
One by which the first grant of land is made. or singular successor of the first or succeeding vassals. Bdl, Dict> ORIGINAL CONVEYANCES (called, also, primary conveyances). Those conveyances by means whereof the benefit or estate is created or first arises, viz., feoffment, gift, grant, lease, exchangee, partition.
