The Cyclopedic Law Dictionary
A term used to signify first choice. In England, when coparcenary lands are divided, unless it is otherwise agreed, the eldest sister has the first choice of the purparts. This part is called the enitia pars. Sometimes the oldest sister makes the partition, and in that case, to prevent partiality, she takes the last choice.
