The Cyclopedic Law Dictionary

In English practice. An instrument of writing in which ■ it is declared that satisfaction is acknowledged between the plaintiff and defendant. It is signed by the attorney, and on its production and the warrant of attorney to the clerk of the judgments, satisfaction is entered on payment of certain fees.
