The Cyclopedic Law Dictionary

The state of being sick or suffe'ring from disease; a diseased condition of the system; illness; ill health; a disease; a malady; a particular kind of disorder; a diseased, distracted, or enfeebled state. Inability to work from mere old age is not. 51 J. P. 227; pregnancy is not; 26 L. J. C. M. 169; but a woman may be "ill" from pregnancy. Color blindness and incurable blindness have been held to be sickness.
