The Cyclopedic Law Dictionary
Where a church is full by institution, and a second institution is granted to the same church, this is a superinstitution, and necessarily raises the question who is entitled to the benefice. It is said that the party who obtains a superinstitution may try his title by ejectment, but that, in consequence of its inconveniences, this method is discouraged, and the more usual remedy of a quure impedit adopted.
