Which is to last for a limited time. A temporary statute, or one which is limited in its operation for a particular period of time after its enactment; the opposite of perpetual.

A period of time which runs continually having once begun, feast days being counted as well as ordinary days, and it making no difference whether the person against whom it runs is present or absent. For a time is a means of destroying obligar tions and actions, because time runs
