Tenor

'In Pleading. A term used to denote that an exact copy is set out, 5 Wend. (N. Y.) 273; 14 Ohio St. 61; 1 Mass. 203; 1 East, 180, and the cases cited in the notes; and binds the pleader to the strictest accuracy. And an indictment for forgery of an instrument, professing to set it out according to its tenor, should give the names, in describing the instrument, spelled as they appear spelled in the original.
