The Cyclopedic Law Dictionary
Tornado is synonymous with "hurricane" and means a violent storm. A violent gust of wind or a tempest distinguished by the vehemence of the wind and by a whirling, progressive _ motion, usually accompanied by thunder, lightning, and torrents of rain, and commonly of short duration and small breadth.
