A writ which lay for citizens and burgesses of any city or borough, and other persons, who, by charter or prescription, were exempted from toll, to enforce such exemption. Reg. Orig. 258b-261; Fitzh. Nat. Brev. 226 (I). An action was brought on such a writ as late as 29 Geo. III. 1 H. Bl. 206.
