In this section, the terms “defense business system” and “defense business system modernization” have the meanings given such terms in section 2222 1 of this title.

The term “defense business system” means an information system that is operated by, for, or on behalf of the Department of Defense, including any of the following:
(i) A financial system.
(ii) A financial data feeder system.
(iii) A contracting system.
(iv) A logistics system.
(v) A planning and budgeting system.
(vi) An installations management system or real estate system.
(vii) A human resources management system.
(viii) A training and readiness system.
(ix) A budget system.
(x) A retail system.
(xi) A health care system.
(xii) A travel and expense system.
(xiii) A payroll system.
(xiv) A supply chain management system.
(xv) A Departmentwide resource planning system.
(xvi) A contractor management system.
