Statute of. The title of the English statute of 22 <fe 28 Charles II. c. 10, containing provisions for the distribution of the personal estate of an intestate among the widow and children, or next of kin. 2 Kenfs Com. 420. Statutes of a similar kind in the United States are generally termed statutes of distribution.
