District Messenger Service

The service is not that of a common carrier, but the furnishing of messengers to be used by the employer in any way in which they could be properly employed, in the course of which the messenger becomes for the time the servant of the employer and the company is not liable for his dishonesty in the ordinary course of his employment unless there was failure to use proper care in his selection; Haskell v.
