In English law. A writ which lay for a man who had aliened lands under duress by im- DUM FUIT INFRA AETATEM (Lat.) The name of a writ which lies when an infant has made a feoffment in fee of his lands or for life, or a gift in tail. It may be sued out by him after he comes of full age, and not before; but in the meantime he may enter, and his entry remits him to his ancestor's rights. Fitzh. Nat. Brev. 192; Co. Litt. 247, 337. DUM NON FUIT COMPOS MENTIS (Lat.) The name of a writ which the heirs of a person who was non compos mentis, and who aliened his lands, might have sued out to restore him to his rights.
