I. An error of law injures [i. e. the party committing it must suffer the co Asequencesj. Error nominis nunquam nocet, si de identitate rei constat: an error in the name does no harm, if it be clear as to the identity of the thing itself. Error qui non resistitur, approbatur: an error which is not objected to is approved. Error scribentis nocere non debet: a mistake of the scribe should work no injury. Errors lapsus: an error through mistake; a false step.
