To live; to have Ilfe or animation; to be in present force, activity or effect at a given time; as in speaking of "existing" contracts, creditors, debts, laws, rights or liens. Merritt v. Banks, 87 Md. 425, 40 Atl. 268. A child conceived, but not born, is to be deemed an "existing person" so far as may be necessary for its interests in the event of its subsequent birth. Bev. Codes N.
