Forum sequitur reum. The court follows the defendant. 2 Salk. 549. In transitory cases a party may be sued anywhere. FORUM SAECULARE. L. Lat. The secular forum or court, as distinguished from the spiritual or ecclesiastical. Videtur prima facie quod cognitio super catallis et debitis pertineat ad forum saeculare.
