In old English law. A gaol. Envoye a nostre gaole; sent to our gaol. Britt. c. 15. Le pleyntyfe soit mys en la gaole, et illonqspuny par prison et par Jin; the plaintiff shall be put in the gaol, and there punished by imprisonment and by fine. Id. c. 100.
