Indorsement in blank

Writing one’s name on a negotiable instrument with intent to incur the liability of a party who warrants payment of it, provided it is presented to the principal at maturity, and if not paid by him, notice thereof is duly given to the indorser. See 29 Am. Dec. 297, note.
