Having the quality of diminishing force; having a tendency to weaken or render infirm. Inflrmative consideration: a hypothesis of which the criminative facts of a case admit, and which tends to weaken the inference of gu Ut deducible from them. Inflrmative fact: a fact set up, proved or supposed, in opposition to the criminative facts of a case, the tendency of which' is to weaken the force of the inference of guilt deducible from them. Inflrmative hypothesis: a hypothesis upon which the criminative facts of a case may be explained consistently with the idea of innocence.
