In English law. A technical term used to signify those conveyances made by a tenant of his leasehold which do not occasion a forfeiture. These are conveyances by lease and release, bargain and sale, and a covenant to stand seised by a tenant for life. 1 Chit. Prac. 243, 244. INNOMINATE (Lat.)

A technical term of the English law of conveyancing, used to designate such conveyances as may be made by a leasehold tenant without working a forfeiture. These are said to dc lease and re-lease, bargain and sale, and, in case of a life-tenant, a covenant to stand seised. See 1 Chit. Pr. 243.
