Body of a county, or a state: the county or the state considered in its territorial entirety. Body of an instrument: the substantial or essential portion of an instrument. Body politic: a state, or a municipal corporation; the sovereign power. Body snatching: the secret unauthorized removal of a dead body from the grave.
