Consolidation

Union; combination; amalgamation. Consolidation of actions: the combination of several actions into one; or of several causes of action of the same nature in one declaration. Consolidation rule: a rule for uniting several actions brought by the same parties on the same cause, by which a verdict in one shall bind the parties in all the others. In Scots law. The junction of the property and superiority of an estate, where they have been disjoined. In the civil law. The union in the same person of the possession or profit of lands, with the property.
