A covenant; an agreement. Conventio duplicata: an agreement executed in duplicate, or in two parts. Conventio legi derogat: agreement derogates from law. Conventio privatorum non potest publico juri derogare: the agreement of private persons cannot derogate from public right. Conventio vincit legem: the express agreement of parties overcomes the law.
