Abuse; ill-treatment; unnecessary infliction of pain, commonly physical; immoderate chastisement - As between huaband and wife, such acts as cause injury to life, limb or health, or danger of such injury, or a reasonable apprehension of such danger, — and this includes acts which so operate through the mind. As against children, immoderate chastisement. As against animals, the wanton infliction of pain, the infliction of pain without cause.
