Apparent danger
Dangers of navigation, or of the sea: the ordinary perils of navigation, as stress of weather, tempests and other extraordinary occurrences, v. Perils of the sea. Dangers of the river: the natural accidents incident to river navigation, not such as may be avoided by proper care and skill.
