In ecclesiastical law
The second of the two great divisions of the Corpus Juris Canonici. Decretales (jlregorii Noni: decretals of Gregory the Ninth; a collection of canon law, published in 1234, consisting of five books, each of whicli is subdivided into titles, and each title into chapters. Decretales Bonifacii Octari: decretals of Boniface the Eighth; a collection of canon law, more commonly known as the Liber Sextu^ Dearetalium, or Sextus decretalium. v. Sextus dearetalium.
