Lat. A madman or lunatic; one violently insane. Furiosi nulla voluntas est: a madman has no will. Furiosus absentis loco est: a madman is the same with an absent person (that is, his presence is of no effect). Furiosus nullum negotium contrahere potest: a madman can contract nothing, — can make no contract. Furiosus nullum negotium gerere potest, quia non intelligit quod agit: a madman can transact no business, because he does not understand what he does. Furiosus solo [or solum] furore punitur: a madman is punished by his madness alone; that is, he is not answerable or punishable for his actions.
