I General. Generalis Clausula non porrigitnr ad ea quee antea specialiter snnt compreliensa: a general clause does not extend to those things which are previously provided for specially. Generalis regula geueraliter est intelligenda: a general rule is to be understood generally. Generalissimum: most general.
