In old Scots law. A trumpet used in denouncing contumacious persons, rebels, and outlaws. This was done with three blasts of the horn by the king's Serjeant, and was called "putting to the horn; " and the party denounced was said to be " at the horn." In English law. Horn tenure: cornaga Horn with liorn: the promiscuous feeding together of horned cattle upon the same common.
