Insanity

Unsoundness of mind; derangement of intellect; madness. Emotional insanity: insanity which arises under the impulse of passion in a person in possession of his ordinary faculties. Impulsive insanity: insanity which exists where a person is irresistibly impelled to the commission of an act. Moral insanity: the insanity of a mind which, while undisturbed by illusion, is yet without power to regulate the conduct according to the understanding.
