A dead pledge; a mart gage, or mortgage. Mortnum Tadium dicitur illud cujns fructus Tel reditus interim percepti in nu Uo se acquietant: that is called a dead pledge, the pi'oflts or rents of which, received in the meantime, in no respect discharge it.
