Reason; a roason; the reason; an account; a cause. Ratio decidendi: reason for deciding; the gi-ounds of decision. Ratio legis: the reason or occasion of a law; the occasion of malsing a law; — est anima legis; mutata legis latione, mutatnr et lex: the reason of a law is the soul of the law; when the reason of a law is changed, the law also is changed.
