The 25th of March, the feast of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary. In parts of Ireland, however, they so designate the 15th of August, the festival of the Assumption of the Virgin. Upon a parol demise, rent to take place from the following Lady day, evidence of the custom of the country is admissible to show that by Lady day the parties meant Old Lady Day; 4 B. & Aid. 588.
