The recess of the English courts from August 10th to October 24th, Longa possessio est pacis jus, Long possession is the law of peace. Braneh, Princ.; Co. Litt: 6. Longa possessio jus parit. Long possession begets right. Fleta, lib. 3, ¢. 15, § 6. Longa possessio parit jus possidendi, et tollit actionem vero domino. Long possession produces the right of possession, and takes away from the true owner his aetion, Co. Litt. 110b. Longum tempus et longus usus qui excedit memoria hominum suflicit pro jure. Co.
