42 U.S.C. § 287C — for purposes of this subpart

The term “minority group” has the meaning given the term “racial and ethnic minority group” in section 300u–6 of this title.

The term “minority group” includes subpopulations of minority groups. The Director of NIH shall, through the guidelines established under subsection (d), define the terms “minority group” and “subpopulation” for purposes of the preceding sentence.

The term “minority group” includes Blacks, Hispanics, American Indians, Alaska Natives, Asians, and Pacific Islanders.
