Navy Regulations

Regulations of the navy established by the secretary of the navy with the approval of the president. They have the force of law; Ex parte Reed, 100 U. S. 13, 25 L. Ed. 538. NE ADMITTAS (Eat.). The name of a writ now practically obsolete, so called from the first words of the Latin form, by which the bishop is forbidden to admit to a benefice the other party’s clerk during the pendency of a quare impedit. Fitzh. N. B. 37; Reg. Orig. 31; 3 Bla. Com. 248; 1 Burn, Eccl. Law 31. NE BA I LA PAS (he did not deliver). A plea in detinue, by which the defendant denies the delivery to him of the thing sued for.
