A body of canon law with the addition of imperial laws bearing upon ecclesiastical matters; also a collection of the canons of the ancient church and fathers without regard to the imperial constitutions. NON ACCEPTAVIT (Lat. he did not accept). The name of a plea to an action of assumpsit brought against the drawee of a bill of exchange upon a supposed acceptance by him. See 4 M. & G. 561.
