I. A son of nobody; a bastard. Nullins hoiuinls anetoritas, apud nos Talere debet ut meliora nou sequereraur si quis attulerit: the authority of no man ought to prevail with us, so far as to prevent our following better [opinions] if any one should present them. Nullius in bonis: among the property of no person; not a subject of private property.
