A verdict rendered by a jury which choose not to take the law from the judge, but will act on their own erroneous view of the law. In such cases, however honest the intentions of the jury may be, their verdict is perverse. 14 Eng. L. & Eq. 532. A place where counsel used to advise with their clients.
