In its popular import, the phrase refers almost exclusively to ground occupied by a courthouse and owned by a county. ' Logansport v. Dunn, 8 Ind. 378; but It may be used as synonymous with park; Church of Hoboken v. Council of Hoboken, 33 N. J. L. 13, 97 Am. Dec. 696. See Park.
