One who receives and conceals stolen goods; a person appointed by a court of equity to take possession of property the subject of litigation and to care for the same, under direction of the court, pending the litigation, — a trustee and pro hoc vice an officer of the court Receiver's certiflcate: a non-negotiable evidence of debt issued under authority of the court by a receiver of a debtor corporation as a first lien on the property.
