Heedless, careless, rash, indifleront to consequences. Kansas City, M. & P>. R. Co. v. Crocker, 95 Ala. 412, 11 South. 262. It implies heedlessness and indifference. Lake Shore & M. S. R. Co. v. Bodemer, 139 111. 596, 29 N. E. 692, 32 Am. St. Rep. 218. Reckless indifference as to the consequences of a criminal act may, no doubt, be characterized as malice. But heedlessness is not malice, and neither of them surely amounts to malice aforethought; Odgers, C. L. 270.
