For, if upon his return to New-Orleans after the war, he acquired a domicil there, (of which, the circumstance of his becoming the owner of a privateer in that port, affords a strong presumption,) he became a redintegrated American citizen, and he could not, by an emigration afterwards, flagrante bello, acquire a neutral character so as to separate himself from that of his native country.
