The judicial act of the court in pronouncing the sentence of the law upon the facts in controversy as ascertained by the pleadings and verdict. 195 111. App. 181. The announcement of the decision of the court, as by a verbal decision entered in the minutes, the filing of findings, etc. It differs from "entry of judgment," which is the formal entry of the judgment upon the records. 80 Cal. 166.
