Sastard

A child born out of wedlock or in circumstances that show that it is impossible for him to have been the son of the husband of the mother. Basl^ard eigne, fr. Bastard elder or eldest; the son of unmarried persons who afterwards intermarry and have another son, — the latter being called mulier puisni.
