spousal agreement

22 U.S.C. § 4044 — as used in this part

“spousal agreement” means any written agreement between—

(A) a participant or former participant; and

(B) his or her spouse or former spouse;

For purposes of this section, the terms “former spouse”, “participant”, and “spousal agreement” have the meanings given such terms in sections 4043 and 4044 of this title.

50 U.S.C. § 2002 — in this section

The term “spousal agreement” means an agreement between a participant, former participant, or retired participant and the participant, former participant, or retired participant's spouse or former spouse that—

(A) is in writing, is signed by the parties, and is notarized;

(B) has not been modified by court order; and

(C) has been authenticated by the Director.

50 U.S.C. § 2154 — for purposes of this section

The term “spousal agreement” means an agreement between an employee, former employee, or retired employee and such employee's spouse or qualified former spouse that—

(A) is in writing, is signed by the parties, and is notarized;

(B) has not been modified by court order; and

(C) has been authenticated by the Director.
