Glossary of Technical Terms, Phrases, and Maxims of the Common Law
1.
The act by which the possession of goods is transferred, as from the seller to the buyer. It may be actual, or symbolic, as by key or bill of lading.
2.
The transfer of a deed to the grantee or his agent. If to a third person, to hold until the performance of some condition, the delivery is by way of escrow.
