A place, near St. Paul's churchyard, where the ecclesiastical and admiralty courts used to be held; courts and offices of the doctors of law who had received a degree from Oxford or Cambridge, and been admitted to practice as advocates. They formed a college, of which the Dean of the Arches was President, v. Court, 82, 90.
