/. A servitude; an easement. Servitus servitutis esse non potest: there cannot be an easement of [on] an easement. Servitus non ea natura est, ut aliquid faciat quis', sed ut aliquid patiatur aut non faciat: the nature of an easement is not that one should do anything; but that one should suffer, or refrain from doing something.
